আড়াইহাজার প্রতিনিধিঃ আড়াইহাজারে পোশাক কারখানার এক নারী শ্রমিককে ধর্ষণের অভিযোগে মামলা করা হয়েছে।
বুধবার (০৬ সেপ্টেম্বর) ওই নারী শ্রমিক বাদী হয়ে রেজাউল করিমের নাম উল্লেখ করে নারী ও শিশু নির্যাতন আইনে থানায় মামলাটি করেন।
মামলার বরাত দিয়ে পুলিশ জানায়, ওই নারী রূপগঞ্জের ফকির ফ্যাশন নামে একটি পোশাক কারখানায় কাজ করেন। বাড়ি থেকে ওই কারখানায় বাসে যাতায়াত করতেন তিনি। পোশাক কারখানার আসা যাওয়ার পথে বিশনন্দী চালারচর গ্রামের ছলিমউদ্দিনের ছেলে রেজাউল করিমের সঙ্গে কথা বলার এক পর্যায়ে তাদের মধ্যে প্রেমের সম্পর্ক গড়ে উঠে। ছুটি পেলেই ওই নারীকে বিভিন্ন জায়গায় ঘুরতে নিয়ে যেতেন রেজাউল। গত ২৫ আগস্ট রাতে রেজাউল ফোন করে তাকে বিয়ে করার কথা বলে আড়াইহাজার পৌরসভা বাজারের আব্বাস মার্কেটের নিচে যেতে বলেন।
পরে সেদিন রাতে ওই নারী সেখানে গেলে তাকে আব্বাস মার্কেটের তৃতীয় তলায় একটি কক্ষে নিয়ে যান রেজাউলে। কাজী আসতেছে বলে কালক্ষেপণ করে রুমের দরজা বন্ধ করে দেন তিনি। এ সময় ওই নারী শ্রমিক আঁচ করতে পেরে বাড়ি চলে যাওয়ার চেষ্টা করেন। পরে তাকে থাপ্পড় মেরে খাটে ফেলে দিয়ে জোরপূর্বক ধর্ষণ করে রেজাউল পালিয়ে যান। পরবর্তীতে রেজাউল তার লোকজন দিয়ে ওই নারীকে ঘটনা প্রকাশ না করে মীমাংসা জন্য হুমকি দিতে থাকেন।
এরপর গত ৪ সেপ্টেম্বর দুপুরে রেজাউল আবারও বিয়ের আশ্বাস দিয়ে মামলা না করার জন্য ওই নারীকে চাপ দেন। বিষয়টি স্থানীয় ওয়ার্ড মেম্বার ও গণ্যমান্য ব্যক্তিদের জানালে তারা থানায় যাওয়ার পরামর্শ দেন। পরে বুধবার সকালে থানায় গেলে ওই নারীর অভিযোগটি মামলা হিসেবে নথিভুক্ত করে পুলিশ।
আড়াইহাজার থানার ভারপ্রাপ্ত কর্মকর্তা (ওসি) ইমদাদুল ইসলাম তৈয়ব জানান, এ ঘটনায় মামলা নেওয়া হয়েছে। অভিযুক্তদের গ্রেপ্তারে পুলিশ অভিযানে নেমেছে।
